Seekers 2010 donation:

April, 2010 - Seekers donates to help those in Haiti restore their lives
In response to the tragedy that befell the Haitian people, the standing committee of Seekers designated $2,130 to support Doctors without Borders and their work in Haiti. During the months of January through March, Seekers set aside 10% of its net proceeds for this donation, and then supplemented it with additional funds to send this sizeable gift to aid those in need in that devastated land. In addition, Seeker had announced it will give 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of its Haitian art directly back to the artists. Over $200 in net proceeds were generated. “Seekers mission is to provide resources to those in need,” says Sue Potts, Chair of Seekers Standing Committee, the governing body for the ministry. “We are working with the organization who imports these items, to ensure these funds go directly back to the artists to help them rebuild their lives.”
